Cludo supports bigram matching as one of multiple natural language processing tools.
Bigram matching allows better support for compound words, meaning words consisting of multiple words.
Example
When searching for “bluebird” results containing “blue bird” as neighboring words would also appear.
When searching for “blue bird” results containing “bluebird” would also appear.
Bigram matching is especially useful for certain languages where compound words are very common, such as the Nordic languages. It can also be useful for automatically fixing simple misspellings with a missing or an extra space in the search term.
