Broken link detection

Cludo will automatically keep track of various features and their associated links over time. If a link suddenly stops working, it is possible to see this information in MyCludo. Alternatively, a user can choose to be notified by email with a report of broken tools.

Broken link detection works for the following tools:

• Banners – Cludo runs a daily check against the links and will report them as broken if they return an HTTP 404 or 500 response
• Quicklinks – Cludo runs a daily check against the links and will report them as broken if they return an HTTP 404 or 500 response
• Page Rankings – A Page Ranking will appear as broken if one or more of the ranked pages are no longer present in the index

In MyCludo, a red broken link icon will be shown next to items with a broken link. Hovering over the icon will provide further information.
