Exporting or using analytics data
You can use Cludo analytics data in reports, dashboards, and other tools. This article outlines the main ways to get data out of Cludo.
Analytics in MyCludo
MyCludo provides built-in analytics: search volume, popular queries, ineffective searches, click-through, and more. Use the Analytics section for your engine to explore this data directly in the browser. You can also export the analytics data to a CSV file from within each analytics tab in MyCludo for further analysis or reporting. See Analytics and Account Overview for an introduction.
Exporting Search Analytics
Cludo API
For automated reporting or custom integrations, use the Cludo API. Analytics and logging endpoints allow you to retrieve search and usage data programmatically. Authentication uses your API Key (Basic auth) for server-to-server calls. Base URLs and credentials follow the same region and auth rules as the rest of the API; see Region and API base URL (EU vs US) and SiteKey vs API Key: when to use which.
For endpoint details and examples, see Cludo API documentation.
Reports and scheduled exports
If your account has email reports or scheduled exports enabled, you can receive periodic summaries (e.g. by email) without using the API. Check your MyCludo profile -> Email reports settings for available report options.
Power BI and similar tools
You can connect external tools to Cludo data for custom dashboards. For step-by-step instructions to import Cludo data into Power BI, see Import Cludo data into Power BI. The same approach can be adapted for other tools that support the same data source or API.
What you can use the data for
- Typical use cases include:
- Building custom performance dashboards
- Monitoring search trends over time
- Identifying low-performing or ineffective search queries
- Detecting content gaps or optimization opportunities
By combining Cludo data with your existing reporting setup, you can make more informed decisions about search relevance, content improvements, and overall user experience.
